"I just bought my first Harley from a private Party and came to Paradise for some answers and a few chrome items (it's so addicting) to put on the sportster. On Saturday I bought a Switchback jacket and some gloves from Missie. She really knew the ins and outs of riding gear. Sunday I was zipping up the jacket and the zipper came off in my hand. I brought it back Monday morning and they said it was clearly a defect but they wouldn't have more of my size in for 7-10 days. I'm thinking "Great, stuck without a Jacket" However the great folks there gave me a loaner FXRG jacket to use!!! I have never had such care for a customer with an item of clothing like that EVER!!!
Your people treated me like a VIP customer even though I didn't buy my bike there. Folks there were all willing to help me with all my nube questions and made me feel like part of the Harley family. I know where my next bike will be coming from.

After moving here from Iowa NOV 2007, a friend AKA Jules introduced me to you and a good portion of your staff on the first meeting. After spending several months of visiting your dealership on a regular basis, I got to know just about everybody there. I’m extremely particular who works on my bike and after learning about the impressive credentials of all your staff, not just the service department, I decided to put the finishing touches on my GEEZR Glide by giving your service department the opportunity to make my motor BIG. Just have to have a BIG motor when you have a Fat Bagger!
After several discussions about components and numerous visits, Jon and Steve in service impressed me enough to take the plunge. They asked me what I was looking for in performance, I told them and they delivered. Theo was the Technician who did justice to my motor and I am thoroughly impressed with him being meticulous in his profession. Well, not just with him but with the whole service department’s meticulous nature. Jon, Steve and Theo are just three of the people in the 5 Star Service Department. I trust everybody and know that they would do an awesome job on my bike. Can’t forget Santiago, he’s the man for a clean ride!
The service department isn’t the only place to stop while there, the folks in the parts, motor clothes and sales are some of the most helpful and knowledgeable people in the business. If they don’t have it, they know where to get it. You all know who you are and I appreciate having had the experience with you all and consider you all my friends. I personally have the utmost respect for all of you and what you do. Great group of people and have a sense of humor as well.
Gotta like the whole 9 yards.

"Dear Mike,
I'm writing a not of thanks for the great work your team did when my Harley broke down in Banks,OR. I was on the first of a three day ride with my friend Benda, who was halfway through a vacation riding her Sportster through Oregon and Washington. I had linked up with Brenda at the Brown Derby Restaurant in Banks and, when we went to leave, my bike wouldn't start. I called your dealership and they gave me the number for Pro Tow who would trailer my bike to your shop.
We arrived shortly before closing on a Monday, August 28th and the person behind the service counter initially told me, with no appointment, he might be able to have my bike ready in a week, on Sunday. Taken aback, I told him I was on a road trip and that my bike had a simple electric problem that should only take an hour or so to repair. He said okay, and wrote "traveler" on my service ticket to speed the process.
Not wanting to put a crimp in Brenda's vacation, I then rented a 2007 Dyna Wide Glide from your employee Kara - a gem of a person. Not knowing when my bike would be ready, I rented the Dyna for two days. Because my bike was in service she rented the bike for half the price - SWEET! The very next day, while touring the Willamette Valley the service department called and my bike was ready. So Brenda and I doubled back, returned the Dyna, picked up my Softail Standard and were back on the road.
Because I know your father John, I was planning to visit you dealership during the ride - but not through the service dept! Thanks to your friendly and caring employees, our trip continued as planned. You have a great group of employees and a wonderful store. I wish I lived closer so I could visit more often.

In this day and age we as consumers expect so much for our dollar and especially in the cutomer service area. Finding good cutomer servicetoday however can be quite a chore. I just wanted to take a minute to commend your stor for outstanding employee customer service. I travel to Oregon a few times a month (I oversee Kadel's Auto Body operations in Idaho) and always look forward to visiting your store. You have a lot of merchandise and the employees are always fast and friendly and accommodating. On Dec. 1st I had purchased some rings and clothes from Shelly. The rings were to be special ordered and mailed, and I took a sweatshirt with me. When I got to the airport at PDX I realized that she had billed me by mistake for a shirt that I had her return to the shelf. By then it was 20 minutes past closing time but i called anyway fearing I may not be believed about the mistake. Cami answered even though you were already closed and handled my situation very courteously. I think you are in the same boat as we are in trying to find help that goes beyond their job description and requirements. She sure suprised me by answering after hours and I appreciated it. Even though I live in Boise you can bet I will buy my next Harley (for my wife next spring) and also my own when I upgrade from my 2002 Heritage soon from Destination Harley-Davidson. The dealer here is ok, don't get me wrong. They just don't measure up to your store.
Why did I start shopping at Tigard when I live in Idaho?? Because way back when I was still riding a Honda and dreaming about a Harley, one of your salesmen gave me the time of day and did not treat me like a tire kicker. He even gave me a 100th Anniversary catalogue. Since then I have spent hundreds of dollars at your store and will buy my future bikes there also. The only reason I did not buy my first Harley fom you was because I had a friend who went bankrupt and needed to sell his 1200 mile 2002 Heritage that was already decked out with goodies. Otherwise I was planning on coming over there.
Thanks for the opportunity to shop in such a friendly and well stocked store and keep up the good work. Pat your people and yourself on the back, you all deserve it. I have visited many Harley stores in Scottsdale, Fort Wayne, Boise, Yakima, Indianapolis, Seattle, San Diego, Dallas, Nashville and more. They don't have it together like Destination!

Thanks for taking the time to speak to me today. Quite frankly I just cannot say enough about the treatment I received at your dealership. I had very "ho-hum-I don't care experience" at two other bike shops. Yours contrasted sharply with that.
Andrew was upbeat and welcomed me to your store. He showed me around and pledged his service to me. A young lady at a desk when you first came in gave me a warm smile and even recognized me the next day when I came in as well. I may not be in the "H-D" league yet, but I have told 10 bikers in less than 10 days about the "Nordstrom" treatment I got at your store. You have to be doing something right, because this culture does not happen by accident. I will do my best to emulate your employee's attitude at my own place of work.
We always hear about it when it's not right. I though you would like to hear about it when it is.

"On Monday July 30th, 2007 while riding to Portland, I developed a maintenance problem with my 2003 Heritage Softail. I called Paradise H-D using my HOG Atlas. I spoke to two very helpful women, Shawna was one of them. She forwarded the call to Jon Allen who attempted to diagnose the problem over the phone and then set up an appointment to have the bike serviced.
I am employed as a pilot with Johnson & Johnson, a health care company. The nature of my job allows me the opportunity to travel all over the world where I come in contact with many varied cultures and traditions. As a pilot, I know the importance of a good mechanic and good maintenance and I am able to recognize good people skills. Which brings me to the significance of this email. I want to recognize those who were so helpul and polite in solving my issue. They include the following: Jon Allen, Rocky Hardesty, Darrin Sprecher, and Shawna (who gave me excellent directions to the dealership). All of these and I'm sure others were instrumental in making this a painless experience for me.
The owner of this fine dealership and Harley-Davidson should be pleased to know they have excellent employees who can rise to the occasion and represent them so well.

"This is our 4th Harley-Davidson in the family, however, it’s my 1st new one.
Jeff Runi was our sales guy and he was AWESOME!! He took the time to really show me the bike and even stayed late doing so. He truly is the best.
We love the owner, Mike Durbin. He is friendly, caring, and very much appreciative of his customers. He has done a GREAT job with the dealership since he purchased it.
